Using the Angel Juicer to make peanut butter

The Angel Juicer is often referred to as the best fruit and vegetable juicer on the market, with its super high quality finish and incredible versatility. So what exactly can this juicer machine do that others can’t? One of the most fun things to do is to make peanut butter with this great machine, read on.

Before we go into the details here, be warned: Don’t try this with other juicer machines unless they specifically state they can be used to puree and process hard foods! The Angel Juicer is suitable thanks to the twin gear juicing system it uses (it crushes food like a chewing mechanism) but most normal juicers use a different method that will not work!

Making nut butters is very easy with a juicer like this. The Angel does not need any modifications, although some similar machines come with a different filter component that you need to place in the cone where liquid would normally come out. Make sure you have this blind in place, have a clean work surface, a few bowls for the nut butter, and a supply of nuts. You need raw (not roasted) peanuts, or if you like cashews. These are the best nuts because they are naturally quite oily and make a good paste.

Once you start the juicer, you simply can start trickling the nuts into the chute you would normally put fruit in to. Make sure your bowl is in place under the pulp ejection opening, and keep gradually pouring in the nuts. It will take about a minute for anything to appear, but after this you will see peanut butter beginning to come out of the pulp opening. Keep feeding in nuts to make as much as you want!

Making your own peanut butter like this using the Angel Juicer is great fun (kids love it) and also a healthy alternative to commercial products, that often have lots of preservatives added. Your natural peanut butter should keep for several weeks if stored in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
