Cost of Laser Hair Removal For Males

While cosmetic procedures have long been associated with women, it is becoming increasingly common for men to request one treatment or another. However, laser facial hair removal for men is one procedure that probably would not be so farfetched in terms of cosmetic procedures. While laser hair removal in general is becoming increasingly popular among both women and men, reducing facial hair is probably one of the most frequent of laser hair treatment areas for men. But the region where the treatment is requested is only one of the differences between treating men and women.

In general, laser facial hair removal cost will be higher for male patient than for female patients. There are a number of reasons for this difference and it all has to do with the biological differences between men and women. To begin with, male patients are typically larger and with larger areas to treat the cost will usually be higher. But men also tend of have much more body hair than women regardless of whether it is on the face or anywhere else on the body. More hair means more effort and time required of the doctor to fully treat the area. It will not matter how the treatment is priced, more hairs will result in more work before it is fully treated.

Another factor that influences the price of laser hair removal is the thickness of the hair. We already know what male patients tend to have more hair and over a larger area which will raise the cost but the addition of having thicker hairs make a huge difference as well. Thicker hairs will often take several pulses of the laser before they are fully damaged enough to keep from growing back. Some facial hairs, especially on some men, are particularly tough to destroy. It will not only take more time and extra sessions but will definitely cost more.
