Being Brutally Honest About Fast Weight Loss

Being Brutally Honest About Fast Weight Loss

I had a conversation the other day with a female who is frustrated with her inability to loose weight. I sympathize with this position because it is common complaint. My comment to her upon hearing that she had been exercising and eating right is yes, but I don’t really know what you are doing. If you want to loose weight fast you have to know what you are really doing and you have to recognize that everything counts. And in many cases the small stuff counts more.

I bring this up because I am very aware of this particular person’s situation. I know that she eats a very balanced vegetarian diet and that she exercises when she can. I also know that she eats fairly large meals at breakfast and lunch and she snacks on a pretty regular basis.

I bring this up to highlight the point that she is doing a lot right, she has some major battles won but the one that really makes the difference is lacking. When the going gets tough she folds. During the movie she gets up to get a snack, when working out is inconvenient she passes. The point being that she gets the big stuff out of the way but when it comes to the small stuff she fails.

This may sound harsh and it is but many people also need to realize that there is a choice to be made. If you want to accept yourself for who you are and not worry about carrying an extra few pounds there is nothing wrong with that. But if you want to loose weight then do it and don’t complain when things don’t go your way.

I will be the first to tell you, loosing weight is a huge challenge and once you have lost the weight keeping it off is almost more of a challenge. It is almost easier to just give up but for many that is not an option. My fast weight loss suggestion is that if you are going to do it, commit, and don’t look back. Don’t second guess and take no prisoners, don’t apologize and don’t complain when the going gets tough.
