Why Should You Purchase an Aluminum Gun Case

Where I used to live as a teenager, hunting was a big deal. During grouse hunting season, parents would take their sons and daughters out of school of a few weeks to spend time hunting with them. Sometimes I would be driving on the road and see a truck with dead animal piled in the back along with other hunting equipment. The kids would come back to school after their hunting holiday and talk about all of their close calls, the bears they saw, and the animals that they were able to catch. They would also wear all of their camouflage clothing to show how cool they were that they got to go hunting while the rest of us stayed at school.
Sometimes the hunting kids would come back sore fr
om carrying all the hunting supplies that they needed for the few weeks they were gone. That got me thinking: why didn't they use aluminum equipment for hunting? My mom recently purchased my dad an aluminum gun case for Christmas. When I was charged to hide it under the tree when my dad was sleeping, I noticed that it was super light-weight. I had thought previously that aluminum had the same density as other metals like steel and iron. I felt that even my flute case weighed more than the aluminum gun case she bought. I began to wonder why the world didn't make everything out of aluminum. They probably could, it just would not be a very cheap place to live.
However, there are many more benefits to aluminum that just the fact that it is light-weight. Aluminum is non-corrosive. Corrosive is basically the equivalent of rusting. It happens through oxidation reactions. You normally see it on chain link fences that have been exposed to the air, car battery terminals, and trampoline frames. If your aluminum gun case doesn't rust, then it is less likely to break without you wanting it to and it also won't give you tetanus. Believe me, none of you want tetanus. Another benefit to having an aluminum gun case is that aluminum is strong, despite how light-weight it is. It doesn't matter how cold or hot it is outside. You can throw that case in the back of your truck and you don't have to worry about doing it any damage. It's very resilient and flexible with the ability to spring back after any impact.
Probably the biggest benefit to having an aluminum gun case is that aluminum doesn't spark. That means if something explodes inside of your gun case, you don't have to worry about other items igniting. At extremely high temperatures, aluminum does not burn and it doesn't produce toxic gases. Conversely, if something explodes outside of your gun case, you don't have to worry about something sparking within. In this day and era, we are very concerned about keeping our environment safe and chemical-free. We want to make sure that the planet can last for generations to come.
To do that, it is good to become involved in recycling. Aluminum gun cases can be recycled without even losing any of the characteristics mentioned above. This is another great benefit of purchasing an aluminum gun case. When you're finished with it, just recycle! One last benefit to purchasing an aluminum gun case is that it can be finished by many techniques. You can use paint, powder coatings, and even electroplating. This might be preferable because aluminum by itself is highly reflective. You don't want the sun beating down on it while you are watching. This is good though because you could paint a forest with a few deer on it like the back of your truck or perhaps write something like “Butch's Gun Only – BEWARE” on it. Keeps the cowards away, if you know what I mean.
